Requirements & Process

Application Requirements

In order to apply to the Executive MBA HSG programmes, candidates must fulfil the following requirements:

• Hold a recognized undergraduate degree
• Have a minimum 5 years of working experience*
• Have a minimum 3 years of managerial / leadership experience
• Fluency on the language of the programme (German or English)

We look for participants that are not only interested in learning but also sharing their knowledge and experience in an inspirational and supportive environment.

*To ensure that students can maximize their learning experience by actively applying their newfound knowledge in a professional setting and having an enriching in-class experience, applicants to the programme should be employed at the time of application and maintain an employment status during the programme.

International EMBA Finance & Tuition Incentives

The International EMBA is an investment in yourself and your future, so it is important to plan your finances carefully. Once you have been admitted to the programme a registration fee of 3’000.- CHF is required to confirm your place in the programme. The remaining tuition fees are split into four equal instalments over the duration of the programme. This may have tax advantages depending on your country or canton of residence (consult your local tax advisor).

In addition to tuition fees, you should also plan a budget for travel and accommodation during your modules, including for the modules held abroad.

Our Finance department is happy to split invoices between personal and company addresses if required. Note that this information should be communicated to the Finance department prior to invoicing. (An administrative fee of 100.- CHF is charged for any changes after invoicing.)

Once admitted to the programme you may defer your start only once, (to the subsequent intake) after which a new application will be required.  (An administrative fee of 250.- CHF is charged for any deferral.)

If you possess knowledge and experience in one of these areas, something that you believe would benefit other members of the class, please share it with us in your online application in the form of an essay explaining how you can contribute your expertise to the programme. The Admissions Committee will decide on the award of each scholarship.
