Flexible by Design

We understand that taking time away from the office is one of the biggest considerations for senior professionals pursuing an Executive MBA. That’s why our programme’s newly implemented online and course-exchange options are designed to offer enhanced flexibility without compromising the onsite learning experience that students consistently find highly rewarding.

You can now:

  • Complete up to 10 days of your programme online via live streaming*
  • Attend up to 5 course weeks as equivalent modules in our English-speaking IEMBA programme, providing greater scheduling ease while enriching your international network*
  • Make use of 4 joker days which can be taken at your convenience to accommodate professional or personal commitments*

This flexible format allows you to balance the demands of a senior leadership role while benefiting from a world-class Executive MBA.

* Course days completed online or used as joker days must be approved in advance by programme management.

Study Trip
Where learning comes to life

When EMBA graduates are asked about their most memorable experiences, the study trip is almost always cited as one of the highlights of their EMBA programme.

Led by Dr Tomas Casas Klett, the elective course in Internationales Management takes students beyond Switzerland’s borders and straight into the heart of international business practice. The study trip is currently organised in collaboration with the Antwerp Management School (AMS) in Belgium.

It is where classroom concepts meet real-world complexity, professional peers become lifelong friends, and your perspective is genuinely challenged and expanded.

Watch the video to see it for yourself.

Company Impact Project (CIP)

The EMBA Company Impact Project (CIP) is the culminating academic and practice-oriented component of the programme at the University of St.Gallen. It enables you to apply and integrate the knowledge, skills, and management mindsets you have acquired during your EMBA studies to complex, real-world business challenges. By addressing practical issues from an academic perspective, you demonstrate your ability to think cross-functionally and holistically, conduct in-depth analyses, and translate theoretical concepts into actionable recommendations with measurable added value.

The Company Impact Project (CIP) is structured as follows:

  • Kick-Off (online), 4 hours
  • 1st Forum, 9am–5pm (St. Gallen / online*)
  • 2nd Forum, 9am–5pm (St. Gallen / online*)
  • Final Presentation: During the last mandatory course.

*On-site attendance recommended

I really enjoyed the content of the EMBA programme, which is up to date with current trends and even a little ahead of the industries. It identifies key trends and has helped me not only apply new knowledge and insights but also support my company in making further progress.
